I recently joined BJ's Wholesale Club, and overall I've had a good experience. One thing I really like is their gift card savings. For example, you can often buy a $50 gift card for around $48, which is a great way to save money on birthdays, special occasions, or Christmas gifts. The quality of their fresh products and other grocery items is very good, and that's one of the reasons I enjoy shopping there. My biggest criticism is the limited variety in certain categories. For example, I use Coffee Mate creamer, but BJ's usually only carries a few flavors like Original, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut. Stores like Walmart offer many more options, including seasonal flavors such as Pumpkin Spice. The same goes for bagels and English muffins—the flavor selection is much more limited than at other retailers. As someone who works in procurement, I think expanding the variety of popular products would benefit both customers and the store. When I can't find the items I want at BJ's, I end up making another trip to Walmart and spending money there instead. I'd much rather give BJ's my business if they offered a broader selection. I’m writing this review specifically about BJ’s pickup service. There is a young man named Gio that works there, and he is one of the kindest, most positive people I’ve ever met! He always brings the order out quickly and with a SMILE! His optimism and great attitude always make my day brighter. Thank you, GIO!!!

I joined BJ's because they offered a promotion: spend $120 and receive a $40 reward. That promotion was the only reason I became a member. I met all the requirements, spent the required amount, and never received the $40 reward. Over the past several months I have gone back to this store many times. Every single time the employees tell me they can't do anything except call another department. Every single time I hear the exact same promise: "Please wait 3 or 4 days and it will be credited to your account." And every single time... nothing happens. I've also called multiple times myself and have wasted far more time, gas, and effort than the $40 is worth. At this point, it's no longer about the money. It's about the complete lack of accountability and customer service. The most frustrating part is not the missing $40—it's that nobody takes ownership of the problem. Everyone passes the responsibility to another department, makes promises that are never kept, and leaves the customer with no solution. I would give this place less stars but because it is clean and organized I won’t. But there was a BJ’s worker in the meat section, my husband and I asked her where we can find a specific shaved beef and she rolled her eyes at us and with attitude she said “I don’t know go over there and check for yourselves” we didn’t say thank you, we stepped away and continued. BJ’s do better in training your employees customer service.

As a pregnant customer with an infant at home, I’ve been using BJ’s drive-up service for convenience and peace of mind. However, I feel the need to share my ongoing concerns regarding the condition of the produce I’ve received. Over the course of several orders, I’ve received moldy pineapples on more than two occasions, squished bananas, poor-quality strawberries, and spoiled cilantro. Initially, I assumed these were isolated mistakes — which can happen. But after experiencing the same issues repeatedly, especially in the last two consecutive orders, I believe there’s a larger quality control issue that needs attention. In my most recent experience, I had to return the bananas after discovering their poor condition at home, only to later realize that the pineapple was again moldy and the strawberries were not in edible shape. As a customer who depends on this service for health and safety reasons, I now feel concerned about whether drive-up orders are being given the same care and attention as in-store purchases in the Pembroke Pines location.
